With this you can for example: Change the pitch of every pad. The next thing you can do now is start NI's controller editor. Now your Maschine Mikro Mk3 acts a MIDI controller. Sorry for the involved post but hope someone can point me in the right direction! Thanks. For the Mk3 this means holding Shift and then clicking the Maschine symbol (circle with a square in it on the top left of hardware). Is there any information on how Instant Mapping works? In short: What is Live's default MIDI map when presented with a generic controller with Sliders, Buttons, Transport, Scenes and Knobs and what does this depend on? Yet in Simpler, the first four sliders (1=4, CC2-5) map to the ADSR controls and the next 8 sliders (4=8, CC6,8,9,12 - 10 and 11 are missed out, probably because these are usually the default values for 'Pan' and 'Expression' and possibly used elsewhere?) map to the Start,Loop, Length and Fade controls - how would I know that this is how Ableton would map to my controller's setup? the value of CC2 (Slider 1)is usually 'Breath Controller' and the value of CC4 (Slider 3) "Foot Pedal' but Live maps these to macro controls 1 and 3. But how would I have known this is what Live does. Live maps this scene setup to the active Instrument Rack macro controllers. Click the '+' button in the upper left:Select your keyboard from the list: On a Mac, set MIDI Input and MIDI Output to 'Your Keyboard DAW'. nanoKONTROL currently maps the first 8 sliders 1=8 in Scene 1 to CC2=CC12. Remote Scripts (for windows 10) the controller will be LiveController2131. ![]() I think I need to know what Live expects to see(?) in order to then program my surface so that Instant Mapping maps targets how I would like it to happen within any limitations. How could I find out what Live does and how it decides to map targets to the controller? ![]() I read that Live decides what do when it's presented with the controller. Be warned though, they can be a little buggy, but usually enough to get by. In order to do this, I think I need to know how Live decides what to map with Instant Mappings to the controller that's selected in Preferences and the defaults it presents. Download the controller editor from native access, select the mikro and then in the right hand sidebar you can add templates for different bits of software. I have also found a Live template for it that lets Live see it in the MIDI preferences.Īll works as it should but I want to edit the nanoKONTROL default layout and burn it to my control surface using its Editor s/w rather than using MIDI mapping within Live to overwrite what Live does with the surface when it is selected in preferences. I have looked at the MIDI mapping in Live and have the Korg nanoKONTROL MIDI editor to program the control surface. I have Live Lite 10 on OSX with the above mentioned controller.
